Amy Marie Turner is a Heartland Emmy-nominated writer that lives where the high desert is shadowed by the soaring peaks of the Sawatch Range, also known as Salida, Colorado. Amy’s academic background is in biology and anthropology, and she spent much of her professional career preparing proposals and managing projects for environmental consultants. She moved to freelance editing and writing in the halcyon days before the pandemic. Her first historical fiction novel,Voyage of the Pleiades was published in June 2023 (Fauve Press). Amy's second novel, A Garden of Shadows is scheduled for publication (Fauve Press) in October 2024. She continues to work on various creative projects that explore our sense of place and identity.
